Area elementary, middle and high school art instructors are invited to join us as we examine our newest exhibition Los Tejanos: Chicano Art from the Cheech Marin Collection featuring 39 works of art by 14 Texas artists from the most renowned collection of its kind.  We’ll hear from local artist and Associate Professor of Art at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Joe Peña, who will talk about his work in Los Tejanos as well as his career as a Chicano artist.

After lunch, teachers will get a tour of the new Creation will get a tour of the new Creation Station studio spaces and participate in the hands-on portion of the workshop led by local Chicana artist Mayra Zamora. Also during this 2nd part of the workshop, teachers will have the chance to win fun door prizes and giveaways!
