Register Online @ www.artmuseumofsouthtexas.org > LEARN > EducatorsArea elementary, middle and high school art instructors are invited to join us as we examine our newest exhibition Masterpieces of American Modernism from the Vilcek Collection featuring 50 works by 15 artists, including Stuart Davis, Arthur Dove Marsden Hartley, Georgia O’Keeffe and Joseph Stella. We’ll watch, on our big screen, a recorded interview at the AMST of Chief Curator from the Philbrook Museum, Catherine Whitney, in which she talks about artists in the exhibition as well as the development of a collection.
After lunch, teachers will participate in the hands-on portion of the workshop led by local artist and Outreach Coordinator Clarissa Ortiz. Also, during this 2nd part of the workshop, teachers will have the chance to win fun door prizes and giveaways!
